I create wedding cakes as acts of translation, turning stories, heritage, and quiet personal details into form, texture, and flavour. Each design is story-led, emotionally considered, and crafted with calm precision.
I work with restraint rather than excess, and intention rather than fast trends. I’m drawn to balance, structure, and design that feels personal, assured, and quietly powerful.
Why Individuality Matters in My Work
My respect for individuality is lived, not theoretical.
As a mum to two neurodivergent children, I understand deeply that no two people experience the world in the same way. Difference deserves patience, respect, and thoughtful attention, not simplification.
That understanding shapes how I work. I don’t force ideas into templates or assumptions. I listen closely, notice what matters, and allow each story to take its own form. Individuality is honoured, not smoothed out.
Culture, Memory & Design
I grew up in Trinidad and now live within an intercultural marriage. Because of this, I understand that culture is not an aesthetic add-on, it is layered, emotional, and often deeply personal.
In my work, cultural references are handled with care and restraint. They are woven into flavour, texture, and proportion in ways that feel natural and aligned, rather than literal or decorative. The result is design that feels meaningful without being overstated.
How I See My Craft
Before cake design, I worked in healthcare. That experience shaped how I move through the world; valuing preparation, responsibility, and calm decision-making.
In my studio, this translates into work that is unhurried, precise, and quietly confident. I specialise exclusively in sugar paste couture, allowing for structural integrity, refined finishes, and modern multi-tier designs that stand confidently throughout the day.
Craft, to me, should feel steady. Design should feel intentional. And the finished result should never feel rushed or compromised.
What I Hope Couples Feel
Seen, not sold to.
I work with one couple per week so every decision feels calm, considered, and flexible. Trust is built through listening, clarity, and care. When those things are present, the process feels collaborative, reassuring, and genuinely enjoyable.
