Here’s how I ensure your wedding cake takes the cake!
Booking process and wedding cake consultations
Anesha’s Art of Cakes offers exclusive wedding cake consultations which are welcoming and exciting. You’ll enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that embodies the true essence of Caribbean hospitality
Step 1: Check my availability.
The first step towards getting your dream wedding cake is to contact me as soon as you book your venue. We can have a quick chat through email, phone or in person to determine whether we are a good match. Based on your guest count and wedding location, I will provide you with an estimated cost. Please keep in mind that I only take up one cake commission per week to ensure that I can give my couples and their cake the utmost attention. As a result, the peak summer months are often booked out two years in advance.
Step 2: Secure your date with a booking fee.
If I have an opening, you can guarantee that your date is saved just for you on my calendar by paying a £100 booking fee. This allows you to continue planning other aspects of your wedding until we have our consultation. No need to share cake design specifics just yet. This fee will be deducted from your final cake balance and applies to new clients who are booking in from February 2024
Step 3: Bespoke design consultations
Experience the warmth of Caribbean hospitality within the comfort and privacy of my home studio. These appiontments last around one hour and focuses on style preferences. You will also be served a selection of freshly baked cakes on my grandmother-in-law’s fine bone china. I will email you a design questionnaire to complete before our appointment.
Following our discussion, I’ll send you a detailed proposal via email, including cost estimate, digital design sketch, cake flavours, delivery details, stand rental information, and any additional needs.
Step 4: Payment
Around 2-3 months before your big day, we’ll touch base on your cake design and flavours to make sure you’re all set. Your final payment will be due in 4 weeks from your wedding date, leaving you stress-free until your big day.
The final price of your cake depends on three main factors: size, cost, and time. Size is based on the number of portions and tiers, cost includes ingredients and materials, and the time reflects the effort taken in the creative process from enquiry to delivery ( an average of 40 to 60 hours)
Step 5: Professional delivery and setup
To ensure a smooth celebration and cohesive design aesthetics, I keep lines of communication open with you, your wedding venue coordinator and your wedding vendors With my reliable, weatherproof cool cases, I take care of any concerns about transportation; your cake will arrive at your venue in excellent condition. To top it all off, I include a cutting guide, a flavour sign, a complete ingredient/allergen list and provide business insurance details to your wedding venue manager to ensure that everyone can enjoy a delectable and beautiful cake.
